The key ingredients in all four balms are:

Organic Olive Oil – an excellent carrier for other oils, it is extremely effective on dry, chapped skin. It is especially good for hands, elbows, knees and feet. Nourishing and softening, it provides excellent protection from weather and water. Quickly absorbed by the skin it also helps regulate sebum production.

Coconut Oil – a good emollient that is easily absorbed, it leaves the skin smooth and nourished. It is odourless and colourless and won’t stain linen or towels during massage. It is naturally antibacterial and antifungal and can penetrate hair better than other oils.

Rice Bran Wax – a skin conditioning and protecting agent with high antioxidant properties. It provides a protective, non-comedogenic highly protective barrier. The brand we use is not hydrogenated and is a vegan-friendly alternative to beeswax.

Tocopherol – pure and natural Vitamin E, it is moisturising, easily absorbed, and protects cell membranes from free radical damage.

How to use

Scoop some of the balm from the jar into your hands. It will ‘melt’ on contact with skin and is then ready to apply to the area to be massaged. Add more as necessary.

We recommend using the Organic Olive massage balm for general use, along with the essential oil blends to add a deeper dimension to the treatment, or when the consultation with your client suggests a particular blend would be effective.

I have been using this massage balm for sports injuries and for Thai foot massages. I am genuinely impressed.
The balm is easy to apply and warms up very quickly. Clients love the fragrance and the texture, which is not too greasy or oily, unlike some massage mediums. What I really like about the balm is the way that it is possible to gain real traction on an area that needs deep tissue work, without creating friction. It’s a really clever formula and I just love using it. I’ve done a fair few treatments with this and I am not yet halfway down the pot, so lasts for ages too.
